Motor Vehicle (Electric Scooter) Theft, 10/29/2025

This notice is sent in compliance with The Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act.

On 10/29/2025 an officer took a report at Jackson-Shaver Hall (1201 17th Street) in reference to a stolen electric scooter. The scooter was described as a Werhy H5 that is yellow and gray in color. The secured scooter was stolen from the Jackson-Shaver Hall bike rack. It was last seen on 10/28/2025 at 2:00 p.m. and found missing on 10/29/2025 at 9:30 a.m. Anyone with information on this theft is encouraged to contact the University Police Department at 936-294-1800.
 
Crime Prevention Tip: Please ensure all vehicles are locked and frequently monitored when unoccupied.

Motor Vehicle (Electric Scooter) Theft x2, 10/29/25

This notice is sent in compliance with The Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act.

On 10/29/2025 an officer took a report at Piney Woods Hall (2120 Avenue I) in reference to a stolen electric scooter. The scooter was described as a Segway Ninebot E2 Plus that is black with a gray footboard. The secured scooter was stolen from the Piney Woods Hall bike rack. It was last seen on 10/28/2025 at 6 p.m. and found missing 10/29/2025 at 10:50 a.m. 
 
Additionally, a separate report was received for the same type of offense.
 
On 10/29/2025 an officer took a report at Mallon House (1319 17th Street) in reference to a stolen electric scooter. The scooter was described as a Razor Gyroor that is black with blue accents with a middle and rear basket. The secured scooter was stolen from the Mallon House bike rack. It was last seen on 10/27/2025 at 8 p.m. and found missing 10/29/2025 at 11:30 a.m. 
 
Anyone with information on these two thefts is encouraged to contact the University Police Department at 936-294-1800.

* WHAT...Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts locally up to 50
mph.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Texas.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.

Instructions: Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
